Preparation for three upcoming opportunities / 三つの展覧会の準備

Since returning to Belfast from Asia, I have continued maintaining my half-Irish and half-British art caravan, the Borderline Project, to represent it at three upcoming opportunities. Although I started the project 12 years ago, I appreciate that it remains popular today. 

The first opportunity is to showcase the Borderline Project in England for the first time as part of the Independent Biennial 2025, which coincidentally occurs alongside the Liverpool Biennial 2025. Since Liverpool has the largest Irish population of any city in England, I believe it is very significant to present the project there. The caravan will be represented in the outdoor area of Make North Docks in Liverpool every day from Saturday, August 23rd, to Sunday, August 31st, from 12 PM to 5 PM. If any of you can make it, it would be wonderful!

アジアからベルファストに戻って以来、私は半分アイリッシュで半分ブリティッシュのアート・キャンピングカー・プロジェクト「ボーダーライン・プロジェクト」をメンテナンスをおこなってきました、今後3つの展覧会で継続してプロジェクトを展示する予定です。このプロジェクトを12年前に始めたものの、現在も人気を維持していることを嬉しく思っています。
最初の機会は、2025年リバプール・ビエンナーレと同時期に開催される「インディペンデント・ビエンナーレ2025」の一環として、イングランドで初めて「ボーダーライン・プロジェクト」を展示することです。リバプールはイングランドで最も多くのアイルランド系住民を抱える都市であるため、このプロジェクトを発表することは非常に意義深いと考えています。キャンピングカーは、リバプールのMake North Docksの屋外エリアで、8月23日（土）から8月31日（日）まで、毎日正午から午後5時まで展示されます。お越しいただける方がいらっしゃれば、大変嬉しく思います！

 

 I had the wrong display of a Scottish Celtic FC rubber duck on the Irish side, and I found the Queen Elizabeth rubber duck was too political. I replaced the St Patrick's Day Leprechaun Rubber Duck on the Irish side and the William Shakespeare Rubber Duck on the British side.

スコットランドのセルティックFCのアヒルをアイルランド側に間違えて展示していたのと、クイーン・エリザベスのアヒルは政治的すぎるため、代わりにアイルランド側にセントパトリックデーのレプラコーンのアヒル、イギリス側にウィリアム・シェイクスピアのアヒルに交換しました。

I added a wooden Irish shillelagh, a wooden British toy dagger, and 3D wall plaques representing both British and Irish cottages to the new collections.

新しいコレクションに、木製のアイリッシュ・シレラ、木製のイギリス製玩具のダガー、イギリスとアイルランドのコテージを表現した3D壁掛けプレートを新たなコレクションに追加しました。

The collection of fridge magnets also increased, but I broke the Lake District magnet immediately during the caravan move. 

冷蔵庫のマグネットのコレクションも増えましたが、キャンピングカーの移動中に湖水地方のマグネットをすぐに壊してしまいました。

As I need to take my caravan out more often for the next 1-year period, I moved the caravan from the storage where I can only access it 3 days in a week into the storage where I can access it whenever I want.

今後1年間、キンピングカーを頻繁に外に出す必要があるため、週に週末の3日しかアクセスできない倉庫から、いつでもアクセスできる倉庫へ移動させました。
