It was so thoughtful of Mary, the festival organizer, to collaborate with me for my exhibition opening. Knowing how chilly the weather is here, she specially prepared traditional Hot Irish Whiskey with lemon, cloves, and sugar, serving both Jameson from the South and Bushmills from the North!

I received fantastic feedback from every single visitor, and they promised to spread the word. This means I should get even more visitors over the next two days!

フェスティバルの主催者であるメアリーが、私の展覧会オープニングでコラボレーションしてくれたのは本当に心強い心遣いでした。こちらの肌寒い気候を考えて、レモンやクローブ、砂糖を入れた伝統的な「ホット・アイリッシュ・ウイスキー」を特別に淹れて、南のジェムソンと北のブッシュミルズの両方振る舞ってくれました！

来場者全員から素晴らしいフィードバックをもらい、口コミで広めると約束してくれました。残り2日間はさらに多くの方が来てくれそうです！

Borderline Project @ “Bere Island Arts Festival 2026”, Cork

My half-Irish, half-British caravan artwork, Borderline Project, has been invited to the Bere Island Arts Festival 2026, taking place from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th September. It’s being held on Bere Island—a small island off the coast of County Cork in southern Ireland with a population of just over 200. It was quite a long journey from Belfast, taking two days of travel, including a small ferry ride across to the island with my caravan!

私の半分アイルランド製で半分イギリス製のアート・キャンピングカー《ボーダーライン・プロジェクト》が、9月17日（木）から20日（日）まで開催される『ベア島アーツ・フェスティバル2026』に招待されました。会場となるベア島は、アイルランド南部のコーク州沖に浮かぶ人口200人ほどの小さな島です。ベルファストからはキャンピングカーを牽引し、小さなフェリーで島へ渡るという、丸2日掛かりの長旅になりました！

After setting up for the festival, I realized that the solar panel I had screwed onto the roof was gone! It must have blown off on the motorway, and I have no idea where I lost it. Screws alone clearly aren't enough to withstand that kind of wind power—next time I'll definitely use a combination of screws and a heavy-duty adhesive sealant. Believe it or not, this is actually the second time I've lost a solar panel while driving. I feel so terrible about it!

搬入や設営を終えてから、屋根にビス留めしていたソーラーパネルが無くなっていることに気づきました！ 高速道路を走っている最中に風で吹き飛んでしまったようで、どこで落としたのかもわかりません。ビス留めだけではあの強烈な風圧に耐えられないと思い知らされたので、次回はネジ留めに加えて強力な構造用接着シーラントを併用しようと思います。実は走行中にソーラーパネルを落としたのはこれで2回目なんです……本当にショックです！
